We're happy to have some fabulous artistes to lay the beats at Twilight Galaxy. Here is just a brief intro of them. Visit their websites to find out more!
ANALOG GIRL//
Named by TIME magazine as one of 5 Music Acts To Watch in 2008 alongside Japanese musician Cornelius is Singapore-based electro-rock chanteuse The Analog Girl. “You’ve heard the hype and it’s true” reveals The Straits Times about the enigmatic performer who is turning heads with her latest EP Sometime Next Galaxy. The Analog Girl first sprung into the international spotlight when American sportswear giant Nike featured a track from her debut self-released, self-produced album The TV Is On on their European ad campaign Changing The Game in 2005.
With a multi-city North American tour in the making, The Analog Girl is fast becoming one of tomorrow’s brightest stars to rock a different sound - at a city near you, with an ever-changing array of space-age machines like the Tenori-On.
AMBERHAZE//
amberhaze is the current solo project of Singapore-based multiinstrumentalist
Giuliano Gullotti. Equal parts shoegaze, post-rock and electronica, amberhaze
blends warm textured layers with simple, candid melodies.
amberhaze represents a process towards a sound in constant
evolution in which Giuliano lets experimentation lead the way.
Giuliano’s music attracted the attention of event
managers and concert organisers. In 2008 he opened for
Japanese math rock band Toe in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and
was also in the line-up of some of the major festivals in
Singapore, including Baybeats 2008, South East Asia’s biggest
indie festival.
BREAKBEAT THEORY//
A live electronica band formed by like-minded musicians who share a common love for music and alternative forms of music production. Built upon the live interaction between members, Breakbeat Theory creates dance music that is free-form and unrehearsed, immersing the audience in its sonic chicanery. All sonic textures are spontaeneously developed and improvised upon onstage. Breakbeat Theory aims to be the new test bed and cross pollinator between live musicians and the DJ.
